View this email in your browser Hi all, I have no intentions of sending out emails this often - we just happen to have many things going on right now - so here is some timely information! I have received some input for the newsletter, so I plan on spreading that information out over time. I have to figure out how to share various things like attachments, so bear with me as I learn this system! Thanks - Molly On Tuesday, May 31st, the Armed Forces Club of RG&E will be holding a Memorial Day Service at 12:00 NOON at the flagpole at 1300 Scottsville Road. All are welcome. This is an annual event and this year marks the 71st occurrence! Specifically at Station 8 in 1951-1953 or Station 3 in 1953-1959. Pioneers of RG&E Newsletter - 05/15/2016

Welcome to the new Pioneers of RG&E Newsletter!   Who am I? My name is Molly Johnston and I am a former RG&E employee. I worked at RG&E in the Substation Engineering Department as a System Protection & Control (relay) Engineer from 2001 to 2011. I currently work for an engineering firm called SECo (Substation Engineering Company) and I contract back to RG&E and NYSEG, now "Avangrid", doing a variety of tasks. Why me? At the 2014 Pioneer's Picnic, Arnie Stockslader and Tom Clegg (RIP) were asking for volunteers to take over the Picnic because they were looking to retire from the task of organizing it every year. I hated to see the Picnic end because we get such a great turnout, so I took on the task, even though I am not retired and I was never "officially" a Pioneer. About this newsletter -  Since I am not retired, I am not sure about what topics of interest you would want to hear about, nor do I have enough content to keep up a regular issuing, but I would be happy to publish a newsletter if folks send me things you think others may want to know (I can't promise I can get out timely newsletters, so general information is probably best).
